From Vessel
to Cloud

How live data travels from every sensor on your ship to your manager's dashboard — in seconds.

1

Step 1The Source

Onboard Sensors

Onboard Sensors

Fuel meters, vibration sensors, RPM sensors and GPS units are physically fitted to the vessel. They continuously capture real-time data — every pulse, every litre, every coordinate — directly from the ship's systems.

2

Step 2The Brain

Dandelion Hardware

Dandelion Hardware

The Dandelion box, installed onboard, collects all incoming sensor readings and packages them into structured data. It handles edge processing and queues transmissions — even when connectivity is intermittent.

3

Step 3The Link

GSM / Satellite

GSM / Satellite

Data is sent via mobile network (4G/GSM) when the vessel is near shore. Further out at sea, it switches automatically to Starlink satellite — ensuring continuous transmission regardless of location.

4

Step 4The Vault

Cloud Server

Cloud Server

Data arrives on Brightree's secure cloud servers, encrypted and tamper-proof. The infrastructure is built for maritime data integrity — immutable logs that cannot be altered after they are written.

Step 5The Interface

Brightseed Portal

Brightseed Portal

Fleet managers log into the Brightseed portal from any browser. Live readings, vessel maps, fuel charts, CO₂ reports, and automated daily summaries — all in one place, accessible from shore.
