What Is BrightNote?
BrightNote is Brightree's electronic bunkering solution — a hardware and software system installed on bunker tankers that digitises the entire fuel delivery process. It replaces the traditional paper Bunker Delivery Note (BDN) with a tamper-proof electronic record generated automatically from live meter data.
The system is directly integrated with Emerson Coriolis mass flow meters — capturing fuel quantity, density, and temperature in real time, with no manual input. BrightNote is officially whitelisted by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), making it one of the only fully approved digital BDN platforms operating in the Port of Singapore.
Core Hardware
Precision mass flow meters fitted to the bunker tanker's fuel pipes. Measures mass, volumetric flow rate, density, and temperature simultaneously — one of the most accurate measurement method available.
The onboard processing unit that reads meter data, drives the HMI display, generates the eBDN, and securely transmits the record to Brightree's cloud servers.
